Three programs
Cameroon Solidarity Response funds and oversees work carried out in Cameroon by vetted partner organizations and service providers. Approvals and records are handled from the United States.
Humanitarian support
We fund medical care, temporary shelter, transport and essential supplies for people in need in Cameroon. Local partner organizations deliver the support, and we pay clinics and other service providers directly.
Legal support and documentation
We fund legal aid for people facing unlawful detention, violations of due process and abuse, and the documentation of these cases. Qualified lawyers and legal aid organizations carry out the work.
Civic building
We support nonpartisan civic education, community dialogue and public-interest information, including programs for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Vox237 is our civic platform.
Vox237 is an online citizens' assembly for Cameroon, open to every political view. Citizens read short explainers on laws, budgets and rights, answer public consultations, and send petitions to named institutions.
It also keeps a citizen record of the 2025 presidential election, polling station by polling station, with the image of each results report (procès-verbal). Vox237 opens in any phone's web browser, in French, English and Cameroonian Pidgin.
Vox237 is independent of every political party, candidate and political movement. Cameroon Solidarity Response provides its governance.

How support reaches people
Every distribution follows the same four steps, as set out in the policies Cameroon Solidarity Response described to the IRS.
Review
Before any support, we verify each partner's identity, leadership, mission and capacity. The partner submits a written request with its purpose, budget, timeline and the people responsible.
Approval
The board approves each distribution. Written terms limit the funds to the approved purpose. A director with a conflict of interest declares it and does not vote.
Payment
We pay organizations and service providers directly, such as clinics, lawyers and transport operators. We do not make cash payments to individuals.
Reporting
Partners send progress updates and a final report, with invoices or receipts where possible. If funds are misused, support is suspended.
Donate
Card payments are processed by Stripe on a secure page. Stripe emails you a receipt for your tax records.
Monthly gift
You choose the amount, from $5 a month. It is charged on the same day each month.
